Instead of using those high-intensity halogen lamps, these use a carbon-fiber filament tucked inside a quartz tube. The magic is in the wavelength. It doesn’t just hit the surface; it sinks deeper into the material. You get a thorough heat without burning the top layer to a crisp. Let’s talk power. When we’re putting these together, it’s all about the balance between wattage and voltage. If you go with a higher voltage, you can pull less current. That’s a win because you can use thinner wires over longer distances without worrying about it. Now, if you cram a high-wattage tube into a tiny space, you’re going to get some serious heat density. It’s powerful. But here’s the catch: your cooling system has to keep up. If it doesn’t, your housing is going to get way too hot. What’s under the hood? The heart of the thing is that carbon filament. Metal coils have a habit of snapping after you turn them on and off a few hundred times because they expand and contract.
