
Why we went with the M-Shape Carbon Fiber Lamp
Let’s be honest: uneven heat is a nightmare when you’re roasting. You end up with some spots that are perfect and others that are just… off. We wanted to fix that, so we moved away from the usual straight tubes and designed an M-shape lamp instead. Here’s the trick. By bending the lamp into an “M,” we get way more heating surface area into the same amount of space. It lets us cram more power into the target zone without needing a lamp that’s three feet long. The heat actually hits where it should. Because of that M-geometry, the infrared waves overlap. This kills off those annoying cold spots you usually find in linear setups. We used carbon fiber filaments for a reason, too. They don’t need to get scorching hot to work, but they push out far-infrared radiation. Instead of just searing the outside of your product, the heat actually sinks deep inside. It’s a much more thorough cook. Built to take a beating We wrapped the whole thing in high-purity quartz glass to keep the carbon from oxidizing. As for the installation? It’s simple. We used standard push-in connectors so you can swap them out quickly on the line without a headache. And since roasting involves a lot of clicking on and off to keep the temperature steady, we made sure the core can handle that constant thermal cycling. It won’t just snap or burn out after a few weeks of hard use. A few tips for the road You can wire these straight into your control board. But here is the thing: because the heat is so concentrated, your reflectors have to be spot on. If your reflectors are dirty or warped, you’ll get localized hotspots on the glass, and that’s how you kill a lamp prematurely. Just give them a quick wipe-down once a week. It takes two minutes and keeps everything running efficiently. As long as your mounting brackets fit the M-bend, these should slide right into most industrial roasters.
