Getting the Most Out of Our 1000W Carbon Fiber Lamps
When you need heat—and you need it now—standard lamps usually don’t cut it. That’s why we built these 1000W carbon fiber lamps. We wanted something that ramps up instantly and hits the target with exactly the right kind of energy. Instead of using those old-school metal alloy filaments, we went with a carbon fiber core. It’s a smart move because it lets us push a lot more power through the lamp without worrying about the filament sagging or just giving up on you. The heat is intense. Packing 1000W into a small space creates a serious heat zone. It’s perfect for those jobs where you can’t just warm the surface; you need the heat to actually soak deep into the material. Because carbon fiber puts out a mix of short and medium wave infrared, it penetrates the substrate rather than just scorching the top layer. As for the build, we wrap everything in high-purity quartz glass. Why? Because if you’re flipping these on and off all day on a production line, cheap glass will just shatter from the thermal shock. Quartz takes the beating. Plus, the carbon fiber core actually runs cooler than tungsten while putting out the same amount of heat. That means your tubes last longer. We also use heavy-duty terminals, so you don’t have to worry about annoying arcs when the load hits. A few tips for setting them up… You can usually drop these right into your existing IR oven arrays. But here’s the thing: watch your spacing. 1000W is a lot of concentrated energy. If you’re too close, you’re going to burn your project. Take a second to calculate your distance. And if you’re tucking these into a tight box, make sure your fans are actually doing their job. If the air doesn’t move, the housing overheats and kills the quartz seal. One last thing—check your voltage. Spikes are the fastest way to snap a carbon filament, and that’s a headache nobody needs.
