When you’re picking your voltage and wattage, you’re basically deciding how hard you want to push the heat. If you go with a high-wattage setup, you get a massive amount of heat density. That means shorter warm-up times and getting more product through your line, faster. But here’s the thing: make sure your power supply and wiring can actually handle the current. If they can’t, you’re just asking for a burnout. And if you’re running high-voltage units, keep an eye on your cooling system. You don’t want the ends of the tubes baking your machine’s internals. The build and the fit The quartz envelope is there for one reason: to keep the carbon filament from oxidizing and dying. Depending on what you’re heating, we can tweak the coatings for either shortwave or medium-wave emission. As for the connections, we stick with R7s or Sk15 bases. Why? Because they’re the industry standard. They just work. You can usually slide these right into your existing OEM machinery without having to rebuild your entire chassis. It’s a simple swap. Where these actually live You’ll mostly find these in PET blowing, automotive curing, or big drying lines. One of the best parts is how the heat spreads. Unlike old-school halogen lamps, carbon fiber gives you a nice, even glow across the whole tube. No more worrying about “hot spots” ruining your product. Just a heads-up: while these tubes are workhorses in 24/7 factories, the quartz is still glass. It’s fragile. Make sure your mounting is solid so that machine vibration doesn’t lead to a crack.
