We built these 700mm clear quartz tubes for the heavy hitters—the industrial jobs where you need a massive amount of heat across a long stretch. At 220V and 2500W, these things really push some serious energy. The power side of things Here’s the deal: 2500W packed into a 700mm length means you’re getting a lot of heat in every single centimeter. We stuck with the 220V standard to keep the current from getting out of hand, but don’t let that fool you. This much power gets hot. Fast. If you don’t have your thermal shielding sorted, your chassis is going to soak up that heat like a sponge. Just make sure your housing can handle the temperature spike before you flip the switch. Why carbon and quartz? Inside, we use a carbon heating element. It works differently than those old-school metal coils. The heat it puts out penetrates deeper into whatever material you’re working on, which makes the whole process more efficient. We wrap that element in clear quartz. We chose quartz because it doesn’t freak out when the temperature swings wildly—it handles thermal shock like a pro. Plus, it lets the infrared waves slide right through without blocking them. One heads-up: while it’s tough against heat, it’s still glass. It’s brittle. Be gentle when you’re installing them, or you’ll end up with a cracked tube and a bad day. Getting it into your line These are basically drop-in replacements for high-power curing or drying setups. You’ll mostly see them in PET blowing or plastic shrink tunnels where you need the surface to heat up now. Because the quartz is clear, the radiation is direct. That means you spend way less time waiting for things to pre-heat. Just a tip on the wiring: 2500W is a heavy continuous load. Double-check that your contactors and wires are up to the task so you don’t fry your terminals. And if you’re running aggressive cycles, keep an eye on your voltage stability. You don’t want your filaments flickering mid-job.
